Land and Conservation Easement Acquisition

We assist land trusts and local governments in the purchase of land and easements for conservation and preservation purposes. Services include fundraising, strategic planning, negotiation, and management of the acquisition process.

Land Use Planning

We consult with landowners, local governments, and conservation organizations on land use planning projects. Services include managing the public participation process for and writing of local area plans, resource specific plans, and comprehensive plans.

Non-Profit Fundraising and Development

We work with the staff and governing boards of non-profits to define issue-oriented priorities and objectives and to develop and implement strategic plans to accomplish those objectives. Services include strategic planning, project development, grant research and writing, and the development of membership and donor campaigns.

Research

We conduct research into land use issues for individuals, government agencies, and organizations. Studies include fiscal impact analysis, research to inform planning processes such as the implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, and the documentation of natural and cultural resources.

Advocacy

We provide support for lobbying and public policy advocacy efforts focused on land use and conservation issues.
